» I Need a Minimum of 5,809 Delta Air Lines SkyMiles Before the End of the Year.
I never thought I would ask for assistance in the Mileage Run forum, but here I am. I did my homework and used the tools: Travelocity Dream Maps and the ITA matrix, to name a couple, as well as the actual Internet web sites of the airlines themselves. I have looked at nested itineraries. I committed myself to and invested in hours of research. I finally had what I needed, and then it changed on me as I was creating my reservation. Now I could use some creative assistance, please. I was about to earn 6,104 Delta Air Lines SkyMiles on a Northwest Airlines round-trip itinerary between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Seattle (SEA) which would have cost me $US204.50 total. That is 3.350262¢ per Elite Qualification Mile, which would have be...... - 2008-12-20

» New jinmei kanji
Hi everyone, I just read that the number of jinmei kanji (that is, kanji used in names) has increased recently. I would just like to know if anyone believe that it is likely that the jouyou kanji list will be expanded as well. 1945 kanji is hard to learn as it is but I think the language would benefit by increasing the number of officially accepted character to at least ~2500. What's your opinions on this? :? One of the articles about the new jinmei kanji http://allabout.co.jp/children/childbirth/closeup/CU20040822A/Well, it would be nice with some more animal kanjis for instance... How's the KanjiBooklet proceeding by the way? If you have time please add the additional 114 kanjis needed for the Lv 1 JLPT... ご苦労...... - 2008-12-20

And we start with a 10k, anybody more than 10K, going once, going twice...I'm sure this will get beat fairly quick. SIN-NRT-DTW-PHX 11,380 miles.you can include non flying credits as well as elite/class bounsesDepends how you define a day. If it is 24 hours then NZ2 AKL-LHR is hard to beat unless you're prepared to fly with very tight connections. If it is same calendar day then can do much better NZ to US via europe is quite possible on a single calendar day. Edited to add - including nonflying sources then I'm sure someone has put through a large transaction on their credit card to earn mega miles in an instant. The question is discriminatory against westword travelers due to the International Dateline, but the longest straight ...... - 2008-12-20
» Shaolin Temple vs WuShu
Folks, I don't mean to start a huge war. I am just asking a simple question. After researching the current Shaolin Temple and all of its off-shoots, I wonder, what is the difference between what they do and the modern sport of Wushu? What is the standard curriculum of both arts? Also, how Buddhist are the Monks? This is not to question anyone's "authenticity". I'm just trying to understand the standard routines and how they are similar and different.1) Wushu vs. Traditional: Traditional martial arts do (apparently) exist at Shaolin Temple but the stuff that gets taught in the billion and a half schools in Dengfeng is mostly just modern wushu. 2) How buddhist are the monks: They score a rating of 1.6 kilo-sanghas on...... - 2008-12-20

Plenty of instability and shear for Iowa along with MN and Wisconson for Wednesday. If the cap breaks early enough things could get interesting. Curious what the next model runs bring, might be an interesting and surprising day. -- Tom HanlonThe potiental is certainly there for an interesting night. I've passed up taking the day off though as it looks like storms will form after dark/slightly elevated. Seems like the best chance for surface based convection would be in SW MN/SC MN. » Checkbox in a Grid Column (not for selection)
I've done a bit of searching the forums and Google on this, but haven't had much luck. What I want to do is place a checkbox column into my grid, not for row selection but to show a value. I'll describe what I have so far... Basically its just a very basic Grid that lists users for a small intranet I'm making. It shows things like name, email, login, job title etc... One of the fields is "disabled" which if yes means their account is disabled and cannot be used. What I want to be able to do is use a checkbox in this column to first display the account disabled state (on/off, true/false etc) and second tie a listener to it so that when the user toggles it, update the users account etc. Is this possible? From my searching all I've found ...... - 2008-12-20

Were they vast differences on in-flight service since the WTC incident? Is AC using plasticwares on all classes? I've read that the FAA won't allow US carriers to bring a cork opener on board. Is this happening on AC, too?Uh, if your concern is that you will be drinking twist-off wine instead of corked wine, then you live in a diferent reality than I.No..no.. I just want to know the new safety measures that have been installed on AC planes. Who cares about the twist off wines.Plastic knives in J LHR-YYZ on Saturday. Interest Widespread In Trumbull Fight Litigants Hold Rally Before Trip To U.S. Supreme Court By ELAINE STOLL Published on 2/21/2005 New London - Suzette Kelo took calls Sunday morning from California and New York, from Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania. “I get phone calls from everywhere in the country,” she said. The strangers who contacted her, she said, have wished her and fellow Fort Trumbull property holdouts success when they go to the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday. The March EnRoute magazine has a section on MLC indicating there will be two Tiers available for purchase - Tier 1 will be access as it is today, Tier 2 will also grant access to over 200 Star Gold lounges. However, the MLC section has not been updated on the web site. Provided this is the case, this will be a significant improvement and may de-value E for those not using upgrade certificates on a regular basis. I believe Star Alliance promotional material indicates over 500 lounges. Thus, I am not sure why the article indicated 200. Am I correct in assuming, from your profile, that you are affiliated with John Painter?? It would be interesting to compare some of the different approaches to various situations aand compare notes. For example, I believe that Dr. Painter has a method of dealing with a two hand grab which incorporates a waist rotation with one hand rising and one going downward. This could be compared to a Tok Sau and Kou Sau with a stance turn in Wing Chun. Pretty hard to describe in this medium but if you are familar with the technique perhaps you could ...... - 2008-12-20

Hi all, I've been trying to run the latest samples on my local IIS setup running on Vista. I've run into a very strange problem which I don't know where the problem lies. Firstly, I tried running the Ajax with XML Forms (http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/form/xml-form.html) sample on my local IIS setup and found that it wasn't loading the data and there was no errors reported. Upon further investigation, I noticed that the XML file that was being requested, was getting generating the server error 405 - method not supported. This is because it was sending a HTTP POST to an XML file, and IIS rejects this as it will only serve the XML file using a GET request. So, I thought I would generate the following PHP script (which acce...... - 2008-12-20

my mother is extremely religious. this one is by far my favorite one of the hundreds she collects.c&c http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z105/ifi0elizai/cruz.jpgI like this, but I think there are a few things that ruin it for me. The object in the top left corner is very distracting, as is the thing on the left 'arm' of the cross, I assume this is what attaches it to the wall? I quite like what I assume are pearls, but they don't really have any point that fixes them within the photo, I think I'd likde to see the top of the crucifix where I assume they hang over the top. Other than the above points I love this, the contrast is good, as is the detail on the body. The texture of the wall is brilliant and you've captured it magnificently w...... - 2008-12-20

I was just wondering where people here buy thier photo envelopes. The sort used for 8x10's, that are roughly 9"x12" and is made up of heavier cardboard. why a site could appear *locked*?Hi. A site can remain locked if the spidering process ends prematurely. To unlock a site go to the admin panel, pick a locked site, click the update button, and then click the unlock link.Tried that, many times but it doesn't unlock??? RogerHere's another way to unlock then. Go directly into your database using phpMyAdmin, or whatever. Update the sites table, making sure that the field called locked has a value of zero in it.Thanks I've done that but it a bit of a chore. I have posed the question " how do I get the link to work" in another reply - I think to you, so I hope someone will have an answer. » US Extends Daylight Savings Time til end of November
I am surprised this was not posted yesterday when it started making the headlines in all the morning papers and was carried through on radio and TV newscasts. It is a pretty significant development that certainly affects us here in more ways that we'd never considered. On Tuesday, the US Congress voted to extend Daylight Savings Time across that country til the end of November from the usual last weekend of September. This means that most of Canada [except for Saskatchewan] will be one hour behind the USA for two months this fall, and thus considerable havoc will be wrecked to such things as airlines schedules and even your evening TV viewing. Airlines -- and this includes those flying from elsewhere in the world as well as Canada -...... - 2008-12-20

Color Newark red-faced over this project Children's book commissioned by council president is rife with errors and misspellings Sunday, September 23, 2007 BY KATIE WANG AND JEFFERY C. MAYS Star-Ledger Staff The idea was hatched a year ago, when several Newark councilmembers heard about King Sau, a local artist who also produced children's coloring books. Why not ask Sau to create a coloring book to educate Newark's children about the city's historical figures during the 20th and 21st centuries? The result, released this week, is a 16-page book featuring rudimentary drawings of Mayor Cory Booker, all nine of the councilmembers, several business owners and other pioneers in the city's history. I have looked at nested itineraries. I committed myself to and invested in hours of research. I finally had what I needed, and then it changed on me as I was creating my reservation. Now I could use some creative assistance, please.

Here is what I found... 1) Stump/log http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/Holly1/stump.jpg 2) Web of stuff http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/Holly1/web.jpg 3) Spilled Shadow http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/Holly1/spill.jpg#3 is novelIn the third I would have loved to see ALL of the "spilled shadow". The idea is good. Shows your "eye" for things! I also like that old spider's web in the fence, though it might have been nice to see the entire square? Thanks!! Corinna here is the photo of the whole square.. The top is below the fence curl where it meets the next square above it... » Close call in Canada highlights airport issues
from IHT 19-Aug-05 Close call in Canada highlights airport issues http://www.iht.com/articles/2005/08/18/news/air.php The crash landing of an Air France wide-body jet at Toronto nine days ago brought to the fore some widespread differences between U.S. and Canadian airport safety practices, ranging from methods of runway construction to Canada's decision years ago not to install even rudimentary detectors to spot sudden dangerous wind shifts. --more--An article full of falsehoods, inaccuracies, myths and speculation.Have not read the article but it's not as if Canada has had any major fatal accidents in the last 20-30 years. Surely it is as safe as any major country and isn't it seeming more likely the AF incident was as a result of "...... - 2008-12-20
» MLC Tier 1 & 2 (Star Gold Access)
The March EnRoute magazine has a section on MLC indicating there will be two Tiers available for purchase - Tier 1 will be access as it is today, Tier 2 will also grant access to over 200 Star Gold lounges. However, the MLC section has not been updated on the web site. Provided this is the case, this will be a significant improvement and may de-value E for those not using upgrade certificates on a regular basis. I believe Star Alliance promotional material indicates over 500 lounges. Thus, I am not sure why the article indicated 200. As well, this may be related to the Amex Aeroplat questionnaire re the value of access to Star lounges.Does any other program sell *G access? I know United gives you Elite if you pre-buy so much travel cre...... - 2008-12-20
» Tooltip Expand direction problem
Hi, I have a gridpanel and I am displaying a tooltip on every line with mouse hover on the records. Problem I am having is when I hover on the bottom line, tooltip expands but since it goes out of the page; it can only be seen partially. Is there a way to tell tooltip expand upwards when it cannot be seen if it expand downwards? My tooltip code which I use on within the gridpanel column render: var tooltip = new Ext.ToolTip({ id: 'incidentTooltip' + recordIndex, target: 'incidentView' + recordIndex, allowDomMove: false, listeners:{beforeshow: beforeTShow, show:afterTShow}, mouseOffset: [-218 - 4, 15], ...... - 2008-12-20

So I have allways wondered, how are these pics retouched. It's almost like that's your "style" but then the fourth is different in that sense. I like the first one. Only my 2 cents worth.hm If I had to achieve that look I would mess around in adobe with: -Color Balance (midtones, shadows, and highlights) -Color Saturation ^---that alone may achieve...... - 2008-12-20
» Could someone help me with the traditional origami crane?
I'm doing an origami project at school. I have to make some origamis. I know how to make a paper ballon that you can inflate, and a few other simple likes like a paper cup. I even got a origami book from the library, but it is too hard. I am having trouble building an origami with no hands on training. I've been to many, many origami websites on how to build it. After nearly 4 hours of trying to do it, I finally managed to make a crane base, or square base, where there are 2 layers of paper. But I cannot make it into a petal fold base. I cannot get the paper to fold properly into it. I pulled the bottom flap up, but this is as far as I can get. Can someone help me on this? Surely theres someone (especially japanese) who can build a traditio...... - 2008-12-20
» New? Tornado Chasers show tonight on Travel Channel
Back in 2003, Pioneer Productions did 3 one hour shows on tornadoes and storm chasers for the Travel Channel. The episodes included "Tornado Chasers" featuring a number of chasers including Jeff Piotrowski, Scott McPartland, Gene Rhoden, myself, and George Kourounis. There was great footage from the 2003 season. The other show was called "Tornado Tours" and had a number of tour groups including Cloud 9. The third was on "Scientific Storm Chasing. Although bought by the Travel Channel, I don't think they ever aired in the USA as the Travel Channel was moving to more usless poker shows. They were aired in 2004 in Canada. I found out that the show, "Tornado Tours" under the heading Travel Channel Secrets was aired at 7PM EDT and will be aire...... - 2008-12-20

I have the same problem with one of mine who gets eczema patches around the mouth - natural, but not flattering.LOL yup the crop monster was well and truley out today! » Question for Ehlana
Hello Ehlana, I noticed your profile shows you do Bagua. I have seen some of the footwork of Park Bok Nam's Pakua/Bagua and can see some similarities to some Wing Chun footwork I have been exposed to.

» Help: Can't get Ajax with XML Forms working in Firefox using IIS 7.0

why a site could appear *locked*?Hi. » building a kung fu mma fighter
what styles and what kind of training methods breakdown by hours or time frame) would you give to a person you are building to show the mma world kung fu owns? What unique techniques would you have him use and what style for offense what for defense etc.?It is a fair question for all. Just about any CMA school, you may incorporate some fighting methods into MMA. It is up to the MMA fighters to decide. On the other hand, Chinese are rolling out San Da in a big way. Tai Ji. Xing Yi. Ba Gua. Mantis. Just to name a few. They all may add to MMA. If MMA people run out of things to attract the crowd. San Da is gaining a momentum very fast. I dunno what will happen 10 years down road.

I guess it would be best to explain what I want to happen. I use a laptop with an external monitor, both monitors are active. With Word I can click on two seperate document files, when they open, they are in there own window, I can then drag one window to one monitor and have the other on the other monitor, just as if they were two seperate applications or two seperate instances of Word. With Excel I cannot do that, all the documents open in one window. I know I can tile the windows in Excel but they are too small then. I do alot of comparisons between workbooks and the inability to do this is really frustrating, In Word, the documentation shows a command switch listed as /n.
